Edmonton Elks’ QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson named CFL’s top performer for Week 13 by PFF

Edmonton Elks’ quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson has been named the CFL’s top performer for Week 13 by Pro Football Focus (PFF) with a grade of 90.2.

The veteran pass completed 25-of-36 pass attempts for 486 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in his team’s 35-20 win over the Calgary Stampeders. He set a new career-high in pass yardage, hit six passes of 30-plus yards, and had three different receivers reach the 100-yard mark.

Ottawa Redblacks’ defensive back Damon Webb was the highest-graded defensive player of the week, earning a grade of 85.9. He played 59 defensive snaps, recording five defensive tackles, one interception, and one pass knockdown.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders had the highest-graded offensive line this past week, earning a group grade of 68.9. Right guard Logan Ferland was the highest-graded individual (77.0) followed by left tackle Trevor Reid (66.6) and right tackle Trevon Tate (65.3).

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.

The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
