The Edmonton Elks have signed American defensive lineman Jordan Strachan to the practice roster.
The six-foot-five, 245-pound defender played 27 collegiate games at the University of South Carolina, making 52 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles, and one interception.
The native of Kingsland, Ga. started his collegiate career as a walk-on at Georgia State University where he made 78 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one pass knockdown. He was named third-team All-Sun Belt in 2019.
The Edmonton Elks (4-8) will host the Calgary Stampeders (4-7) on Saturday, Sept. 7 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
