The Hamilton Tiger-Cats released American defensive back Kenneth George Jr.
The 27-year-old had started every game at halfback for the Ticats this year, beginning the season at boundary halfback then moving over to the field side in Week 4.
The second-year cover man recorded 39 tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions, one of which was taken back for a touchdown, and four pass knockdowns through 10 games. In his rookie season with Hamilton in 2023, he collected 43 tackles, two interceptions, one sack, and one forced fumble across 18 games.
The five-foot-11, 203-pound defender played in 33 games and made 10 starts across four seasons at the University of Tennessee, recording 52 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, 10 pass knockdowns, and one fumble recovery.
Before becoming a Volunteer, the Lafayette, La. native spent two years at Trinity Valley Community College, recording 27 tackles and two interceptions across 11 games.
Prior to coming north of the border, George was signed as an undrafted NFL free agent by the Tennessee Titans back in May 2022.
