Saskatchewan Roughriders’ head coach Corey Mace wishes he met Ludacris while the rap star was at Mosaic Stadium.
“Don’t even bring it up, man — I was oh-for-two. He was in the building twice and I missed him, two times — missed him. Everybody else got pictures, nobody wanted to tell me. No pictures with Luda, man, that’s tough,” Mace said.
The 46-year-old performer was in Regina for a show at the Queen City Ex on Friday, Aug. 2. He posted a video of him playing bubble soccer on the turf, which garnered almost 1.5 million views on Instagram.

“I heard he was in the cold tubs getting ready for the performance. He was on the field with his kids, he had a good time. He got an obsidian jersey, so that’s cool. The Rider Store works quick. As long as he keeps that jersey in the house, I know a little piece of us is always with Luda,” Mace said.
Veteran quarterback Trevor Harris did not know Ludacris was in town as he was focused on rehabbing his injured knee and missed out on meeting him.
“I’m embarrassed to say this, but if I had a lineup of people, I probably wouldn’t be able to pick him out,” Harris said. “I probably heard a lot of his songs and probably sang a lot of them growing up.”
The Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-3-1) will host the Montreal Alouettes (8-1) on Friday, Aug. 16 with kickoff slated for 9:00 p.m. EDT.
