The San Francisco 49ers have released former CFL defensive back Erik Harris, per Aaron Wilson.
The 34-year-old Harris suited up in three games with the 49ers after being added to the team’s practice roster on November 28.
The six-foot-two, 225-pound defender played three seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 2013 to 2015, making 79 defensive tackles, 27 special teams tackles, and three interceptions at strong-side linebacker.
Harris has dressed for 94 career NFL games with 43 starts, recording 267 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, 28 pass knockdowns, five interceptions, one forced fumble, and 0.5 sacks.
