Toronto Argonauts’ DB Royce Metchie named CFL’s top performer for Week 9 by PFF

Toronto Argonauts’ defensive back Royce Metchie has been named the CFL’s top performer for Week 9 by Pro Football Focus (PFF) with a grade of 92.7.

The University of Guelph product tied a career-high with nine tackles in his team’s 27-23 loss to the Calgary Stampeders, also adding an interception and forced fumble. He played a total of 62 defensive snaps.

Metchie has made 36 defensive tackles, one interception, and two forced fumbles over eight starts at safety this season. This is his third season with the Argonauts.

Saskatchewan Roughriders’ quarterback Shea Patterson was the league’s highest-graded offensive player with a score of 85.2. He completed 22-of-38 pass attempts for 306 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception during his team’s 42-31 loss to the Edmonton Elks.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats had the highest-graded offensive line of the week with a score of 73.0. Left tackle Brendan Bordner had the best individual grade at 71.8, followed by right tackle Jordan Murray (71.7) and right guard Coulter Woodmansey (69.8).
