The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will get a big boost to their offensive line this week in Edmonton.
Prized right tackle Jordan Murray is set to make his first appearance of 2024 after missing the first six games of the year with a knee injury. The University of North Texas product started seven games for the team between the two tackle positions after returning from the NFL midway through the 2023 campaign.
The six-foot-nine, 330-pound blocker started six games at right tackle and three at left tackle for Hamilton in 2021, helping the team reach the Grey Cup. He also started two postseason games at left tackle, before signing with the Indianapolis Colts in the offseason and spending the entire 2022 season on their practice roster.
Brandon Kemp, who started at right tackle last week, will be a healthy scratch for the team this week. Rookie Quinton Barrow, who started the first five games, is currently on the practice roster.
Starting safety Stavros Katsantonis (leg) will remain out for a second consecutive game after being made a late scratch last week. Robert Panabaker will start in his place, though fellow Canadian DB Patrick Burke Jr. has been returned to the practice roster.
Among the other roster moves, American tight end Camren McDonald has been demoted to the practice roster and will be replaced with Global Jevoni Robinson. American defensive end Kobe Jones will also dress for the game.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1-5) will visit the Edmonton Elks (0-6) on Sunday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
