The Montreal Alouettes have signed Canadian defensive lineman Anthony Federico and Canadian kicker Michael Domagala.

Federico was a second-round pick in the 2022 CFL Draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats out of Queen’s University. He dressed for 23 games over two seasons with the club, recording 10 special teams tackles, but was released following training camp this year.

The six-foot-four, 240-pound native of Niagara Falls, Ont. played 23 collegiate games for the Golden Gaels and made 87 total tackles, 34.5 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, and one pass knockdown.

Domagala spent time with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2023, suiting up for five games with the team late in the season. He went eight-for-nine on his field goal attempts, replacing Lewis Ward after he suffered a torn pectoral muscle.

The native of St. Catharines, Ont. spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons as a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He played 17 games in 2022, connecting on 12-of-16 field goal attempts, punting 65 times for an average of 44.4 yards, and averaging 66.6 yards on kickoffs. He was also briefly on Edmonton’s practice roster to start the 2023 season.

The Carleton product has made 19-of-26 career field goal attempts and 12-of-15 extra point attempts, while averaging 44.4 yards per punt.

The Montreal Alouettes (5-0) will host the Toronto Argonauts (2-2) at Percival Molson Stadium on Thursday, July 11 with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
