The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American receiver Davon Harris to their practice roster.

Nicknamed ‘Smoke’, Harris suited up in 12 games last season for Louisiana Tech University, registering 83 receptions for 796 yards with four touchdowns. He went unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft and did not sign a free agent contract.

The five-foot-six, 180-pound speedster played 61 games over his five seasons with the Bulldogs, registering 308 receptions for 2,908 with 23 touchdown receptions. He was also a major factor in the return game, registering 41 kick returns for 992 yards and 82 punt returns for 829 yards with one touchdown.

Harris earned All-Conference USA honours in four of his five seasons, including being named to the first team in 2023 and 2022 and making the second team in 2021 and 2020. He made the All-Freshman Team in 2019.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-3) will visit the Ottawa Redblacks (1-1) on Sunday, June 30 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
