The Edmonton Elks have made four changes to their lineup ahead of Saturday’s matchup with the Toronto Argonauts, including debuting free-agent receiver Tevin Jones.

The 31-year-old signed with the team on June 11 after being released by the Montreal Alouettes after training camp. He spent the previous three seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, catching 85 passes for 1,147 yards and six touchdowns over 31 career CFL games.

Jones is listed as a backup for his first game, though the Elks have made two other changes to the receiving corps. Starter Malik Flowers has been demoted to the practice roster after catching three passes for 33 yards through two weeks, as has backup Jerminic Smith. Newcomer Arkell Smith will get the nod with the first unit, with Jones providing insurance.

On the other side of the ball, defensive back Kordell Jackson has been moved to the practice roster after recording eight tackles. Devodric Bynum returns to his field halfback spot after a one-game absence.

Starting defensive end Romeo McKnight (calf) has been placed on the one-game injured list. Canadian supplemental draft pick Antonio Alfano will get the start in his place, while American Erik Black draws in for rotational depth.

Canadian linebacker Josiah Schakel (ankle) will spend another week on the one-game injured list, as will offensive tackle Brett Boyko (head) despite being listed as available. Fellow offensive lineman Phil Grohovac will once again be a healthy scratch.

The Edmonton Elks (0-2) will visit the Toronto Argonauts (1-0) on Saturday, June 22 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
