Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ quarterback Zach Collaros has been named the No. 1 player in the CFL for the third consecutive year, according to TSN’s top 50 CFL players list.

The 35-year-old native of Steubenville, Ohio threw for 4,252 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions last season, leading his team to a 14-4 record and an appearance in the 110th Grey Cup. Collaros has been named a West Division all-star in each of the last three seasons and was named the league’s Most Outstanding Player in 2021 and 2022, though he was ineligible for the award last year as Brady Oliveira received Winnipeg’s nomination.

Approximately 40 ballots were distributed to voters across the country, including 3DownNation contributors John Hodge, JC Abbott, Ben Grant, and Ryan Ballantine. Each ballot could include only 40 players with minimum requirements for each position.

The list features five B.C. Lions, five Calgary Stampeders, four Edmonton Elks, six Saskatchewan Roughriders, ten Winnipeg Blue Bombers, five Hamilton Tiger-Cats, six Toronto Argonauts, three Ottawa Redblacks, and six Montreal Alouettes.

Active players who made the list in 2023 but fell short this year include defensive back Jonathan Moxey (50), receiver Dillon Mitchell (47), kicker Rene Paredes (46), defensive back Tre Roberson (44), defensive lineman Ja’Gared Davis (42), linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox (41), receiver Malik Henry (38), receiver Lucky Whitehead (37), defensive lineman Shawn Oakman (36), defensive back Tunde Adeleke (35), receiver Jaelon Acklin (30), quarterback Jake Maier (29), quarterback Jeremiah Masoli (27), offensive lineman Sean McEwen (24), receiver Kurleigh Gittens Jr. (21), quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell (20), running back William Stanback (14), receiver Dominique Rhymes (11), defensive lineman Lorenzo Mauldin IV (7), and running back Ka’Deem Carey (3).
