The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will travel with most of their veterans to the club’s final preseason game in Guelph on Friday, but very few are expected to play against the rival Toronto Argonauts.

Veteran quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell leads the contingent of regular starters listed at the bottom of the depth chart, as second-year pivot Taylor Powell will get the start after throwing for 2,283 yards, 10 touchdowns, and nine interceptions last year. He’ll be backed up by rookie Harrison Frost and Kevin Thomson.

Among projected starters, just defensive backs Dexter Lawson and Kenneth George Jr. are in their predicted spots. Destin Talbert will start over special teams ace Carthell Flowers-Lloyd at strong-side linebacker for the second week in a row, while Ray Wilborn and DQ Thomas will get the first look in a linebacking corps that will have one new contributor.

Offensively, Kendrick Sartor and Brandon Kemp will start at the two tackle spots with Joel Figueroa and Jordan Murray still out of the lineup. Omar Bayless would appear to be pencilled in as one starter in the receiving corps, but Marcus Rogers, Kaylon Geiger, T.J. Vasher, and Des Holmes will all get first-team reps.

The Ticats will kick off against the Argos on May 31 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Final cuts will be made by 10:00 p.m. ET the following day.
