The B.C. Lions will debut their projected starting lineup when they host the Edmonton Elks for the final game of the 2024 preseason.

After taking last week off, quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. will be back at the helm and will be joined by a number of new faces. Prized free agent running back William Stanback will put on a Lions’ uniform for the first time, as will defensive back Ciante Evans, defensive end Pete Robertson, and highly-touted local product Christian Covington at defensive tackle.

B.C. will look to cement a pair of new starters in the receiving corps in this game, with Ayden Eberhardt and Travis Fulgham getting their first opportunities with the top unit. Eberhardt is entering his second season with the club after dominating the preseason in 2023, while Fulgham gets his first taste of CFL action after amassing 539 yards in the NFL.

In other notable position battles, Jordan Perryman will get the start at field cornerback as the team looks to find a replacement in the secondary for T.J. Lee. David Knevel will get the first look at left guard over American Chris Schleuger. NFL veteran Kyle Nelson is listed as the team’s only long snapper, as his competitor Riley Pickett was moved to backup fullback.

The Lions will kick off against Edmonton at 10:00 p.m. ET on May 31. Final cuts must be made by 10:00 p.m. local time the following day.
