The Toronto Argonauts will have the majority of their starting lineup on the field when they wrap up the preseason against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday.

After resting most of their defensive veterans last week, the entire group will be available this time around, save for versatile Canadian defensive back Tunde Adeleke. It would appear that free agent signee Quincy Mauger has a leg up on the starting strongside linebacker role as a result, while second-year man Benjie Franklin looks to be locked in a field cornerback.

Offensively, centre Darius Ciraco will miss his second straight contest with Peter Nicastro once again handling snapping duties and Gregor Mackellar starting at right guard. Damonte Coxie returns to his slot in the receiving corps but Canadian pass catcher David Ungerer will sit this one out. Rookie Jordan Byrd will be his first team replacement and get a shot to run with the top unit.

On special teams, long snapper Adam Guillemette will also be unavailable, creating an opportunity for the freshly signed Blaise Barber.

Cameron Dukes will once again get the starting reps under centre amidst Chad Kelly’s suspension, having gone four-of-six for 51 yards, one touchdown, and one interception last week. Veterans Nick Arbuckle and Bryan Scott will follow him into the game, followed by new addition John Matocha.

The Argos will kick off against the Ticats in Guelph on May 31 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Final cuts will have to be delivered to the league by 10:00 p.m. local the next day.
