The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American receiver Mike Harley on the first day of training camp.

Harley played 60 collegiate games at the University of Miami, making 182 catches for 2,158 yards, and 15 touchdowns. He was named third-team All-ACC in 2020 and graduated the following year as the Hurricanes’ all-time receptions leader.

The five-foot-10, 173-pound target went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft but spent that season on the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad. He was waived following training camp in 2023 and later joined the UFL’s DC Defenders, though he was released without ever playing a game.

The Redblacks have also signed Canadian kicker Michael Domagala.

Domagala played five games for the Redblacks last year in place of the injured Lewis Ward. He went eight for nine on field goals, including a 46-yarder, and hit all eight extra point attempts. He was released on May 7 but returns to the team just five days later.

The native of St. Catharines, Ont. went undrafted out of Carleton in 2017 before eventually landing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2021. Domagala made 19-of-26 field goal attempts (73.1 percent) over two seasons with the team, adding 12-of-14 convert attempts and punting 90 times for an average of 44.4 yards. He began the 2023 season with the Edmonton Elks before being released in training camp.

The Redblacks open their preseason on Saturday, May 25 when they visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
