The Ottawa Redblacks have added five players to their roster, including American receiver Andre Miller, Global offensive lineman Isaac Moore, American defensive linemen Owen Carney and Michael Anderson, and American linebacker Caliph Brice.
Miller has had stints with the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers since going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft but never dressed for a regular season game with either team. The six-foot-two, 224-pound native of Old Town, Me. caught 104 passes for 1,848 yards, and 14 touchdowns over 38 collegiate games with the University of Maine.
Moore was the sixth overall pick in the 2023 CFL Global Draft and spent last season on the practice roster with the Calgary Stampeders. The six-foot-seven, 300-pound native of Orebro, Sweden started at left tackle for multiple seasons at Temple University and attended rookie minicamp with the Green Bay Packers after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Carney has had stints with the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals, though he never dressed for a regular season game with either team. The six-foot-three, 275-pound native of Miami Gardens, Fla. made 116 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and three pass knockdowns over 55 collegiate games at the University of Illinois.
Anderson signed with the Seattle Seahawks after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft but didn’t make the club’s final roster. The six-foot-three, 275-pound defender finished his collegiate career at Iowa State University where he made 37 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, and one pass knockdown.
Brice played five games with the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL this past season and was also previously a member of the Green Bay Packers. The six-foot-two, 233-pound native of Rock Hill, S.C. played 30 collegiate games at Florida Atlantic University where he made 140 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and two pass knockdowns.
The Redblacks have a bye during the first week of the 2024 regular season before hosting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Thursday, June 13 at TD Place Stadium.
