Canadian defensive end Luke Brubacher has received an invitation to attend rookie minicamp with the New Orleans Saints, per source.

The six-foot-five, 246-pound pass rusher was one of the top testers at this year’s CFL Combine, leaping 38 inches in the vertical jump and 126 inches in the broad jump. He also ran a 4.69-second forty-yard dash, 7.06-second three-cone, and 4.34-second short shuttle.

The Wilfrid Laurier University product didn’t play organized football before walking on with the Golden Hawks. He became an instant starter, recording 61 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, four pass deflections, and one forced fumble in 27 games over three seasons. He was named a second-team OUA all-star in 2023.

This is Brubacher’s second rookie minicamp invitation as he was also invited to participate with the New York Jets. His CFL rights belong to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as he was selected in the second round of the 2024 CFL Draft on Tuesday.

The Saints recently signed a different Canadian player, adding offensive lineman Kyle Hergel after he went unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Boston College.
