The Edmonton Elks have signed American offensive lineman T.J. Storment.
The six-foot-seven, 320-pound blocker most recently spent time with the DC Defenders and Orlando Guardians of the XFL in 2023. He started three games for the Defenders before being traded to the Guardians where he dressed for three games.
The 26-year-old attended rookie minicamp with the Baltimore Ravens in June 2022 but did not sign with the team. He later signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, though he did not dress for any regular season CFL games.
The native of Statesville, N.C. had a nomadic collegiate career, playing at Texas Tech University (2021), Texas Christian University (2020), Colorado State University (2019), Fullerton College (2018), and Old Dominion (2016-17). He was named All-Big 12 honourable mention with the Red Raiders in 2021.
The Elks will open their 2024 regular season by hosting the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday, June 8.
