The Edmonton Elks have selected linebacker Eteva Mauga-Clements with the first overall pick in the 2024 CFL Global Draft out of the University of Nebraska.
The six-foot-one, 218-pound defender ran a 4.73-second forty-yard dash at the CFL Combine in Winnipeg along with a 6.90-second three-cone, 4.14-second shuttle, 119-inch broad jump, 35-inch vertical jump, and 13 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
The native of American Samoa played three collegiate seasons with the Cornhuskers and made two starts, recording 45 total tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, one pass knockdown, and one forced fumble.
