Calgary Stampeders announce dates for Fanfest, Red & White game

The Calgary Stampeders will host their annual Fanfest and Red & White game on back-to-back dates this year, hosting them on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, respectively.

Fanfest will include an autograph session with players, photos with the Grey Cup, a live DJ, giant inflatables, football activities, and appearances from Ralph the Dog and the cheerleading squad. Team president Jay McNeil and head coach and general manager Dave Dickenson will also be on-hand to address fans.

The Red & White game will pit players against one another in game-like conditions, giving fans the chance to watch them compete. The scrimmage will be accompanied by a live DJ and the team’s cheerleading squad.

Calgary will also hold an event for kids on Saturday, May 11 called Jr. Stamps Camp. Participants will be given a pep talk by Dickenson before being put through a series of drills at McMahon Stadium. Each child will also receive some collectables, including a t-shirt.

The Stampeders will open rookie camp on Wednesday, May 8 with training camp opening on Sunday, May 12 and concluding on Saturday, June 1. The team will host the B.C. Lions on Saturday, May 25 for their first preseason game and visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for their second preseason game on Friday, May 31.

The Stampeders will open the 2024 regular season on Friday, June 7 when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium.
