Canadian LB Lourenz Bowers-Kane to attend Syracuse pro day

Canadian linebacker Lourenz Bowers-Kane will participate in Syracuse University’s upcoming pro day, per sources.

The five-foot-eleven, 207-pound defender made 146 total tackles, six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one pass knockdown over the past three seasons at Western University, winning a Vanier Cup in 2021.

Bowers-Kane was named a second-team U Sports All-Canadian and an OUA first-team all-star this past season at strong-side linebacker with the Mustangs.

The native of Dartmouth, N.S. is still set to attend the CFL Combine in Winnipeg but will now get the opportunity to perform in front of NFL scouts in Central New York.

Bowers-Kane has a number of former professional football players in his extended family, including two-time Super Bowl and one-time Grey Cup champion Tyrone Williams, Syracuse product and former Seattle Seahawks standout receiver Tommy Kane, and eight-year CFL receiver Dwayne Provo.

Syracuse’s pro day is scheduled for Monday, March 18. It will also be attended by free agent Canadian defensive back Katley Joseph.
