The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American linebacker Ray Wilborn and American defensive back Michael Jacquet.
Wilborn went unselected in the 2020 NFL Draft but has since been a member of five different teams, enjoying stints with the Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, and New York Giants. He played a total of two regular season games as a member of the Broncos in 2022, playing 31 snaps on special teams.
The six-foot-four, 225-pound defender played 24 collegiate games at Ball State University, recording 166 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, three quarterback sacks, two forced fumbles, 12 pass knockdowns, and four interceptions. He first started his collegiate career at Garden City Community College in Kansas.
Jacquet went unselected in the 2020 NFL Draft before signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played seven games with the team and made two starts, recording 18 total tackles, three pass knockdowns, one sack, and one forced fumble prior to being waived in October 2021.
The 27-year-old native of Beaumont, Texas has since been a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, and Los Angeles Chargers. He was named second-team All-Sun Belt during his final collegiate season at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
The Ticats will open their 2024 regular season by visiting the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium on Friday, June 7.
