The Toronto Argonauts have signed American offensive lineman Dare Rosenthal and American defensive lineman Atlias Bell.

Rosenthal started his collegiate career at Lousiana State University and helped the Tigers win a National Championship as a redshirt freshman in 2019. He dressed for 12 games with the team and made eight starts after converting from the defensive line.

The six-foot-seven, 327-pound blocker transferred to the University of Kentucky in 2021 and started 12 games at left tackle. The 24-year-old has since attended minicamp with the Atlanta Falcons and played for the USFL’s Philadelphia Stars and XFL’s DC Defenders.

Bell played 37 collegiate games at the University of Houston where he made 83 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and one forced fumble for the Cougars.

The six-foot-one, 275-pound defender was named All-Conference by Pro Football Focus as a senior and was their fifth-rated edge rusher nationally. The 25-year-old native of New Orleans started his collegiate career at Iowa Western where he helped the team to a 10-1 record and a bowl game victory in his second season.

Toronto will open their 2024 regular season on Sunday, June 9 when they host the B.C. Lions at BMO Field.
