Calgary Stampeders sign former NFL receiver Auden Tate

The Calgary Stampeders have signed former NFL receiver Auden Tate.

The 27-year-old Tate played 35 games over four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals making 61 receptions for 799 yards and two touchdowns. He was selected in the seventh round, 253rd overall during the 2018 NFL Draft.

In 2022, he attended training camp with the Atlanta Falcons and spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad. Last year, the six-foot-five, 228-pound pass catcher signed with the Arizona Cardinals.

The Irmo, SC native played three seasons at Florida State University. During 29 games for the Seminoles, he made 65 receptions for 957 yards with 16 touchdowns. In 2017, he led FSU and the Atlantic Coast Conference with 10 touchdown catches and had a total of 40 receptions for 548 yards.

Tate earned over $3 million while in the NFL.
