B.C. Lions sign veteran DB Ciante Evans

The B.C. Lions have signed veteran defensive back Ciante Evans.

The 31-year-old won a Grey Cup as a member of the Montreal Alouettes this past season, recording 25 defensive tackles and three interceptions over 11 regular season games.

The native of Fort Worth, Texas have played 95 career CFL games since entering the league as a member of the Calgary Stampeders in 2016, making 247 defensive tackles, 17 interceptions, and three forced fumbles as a member of the Stampeders, Alouettes, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The five-foot-eleven, 195-pound cover man is a two-time West Division all-star, one-time CFL all-star, and two-time Grey Cup champion.

The Lions will open their 2024 regular season on Sunday, June 9 when they visit the Toronto Argonauts at BMO Field.
