The Toronto Argonauts have signed Global defensive lineman Thiadric Hansen.
The six-foot-two, 254-pound defender was a first-round pick in the 2019 Global Draft and spent four seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, recording 19 defensive tackles, 21 special teams tackles, four sacks, and three forced fumbles over 46 career games.
The 31-year-old native of Germany was limited to only 14 games over the past two seasons due to an Achilles injury.
Hansen previously played for the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes of the German Football League and was the club’s all-time leading tackler upon his departure for the CFL.
Toronto will open their 2024 regular season on Sunday, June 9 when they host the B.C. Lions at BMO Field.
