Calgary Stampeders sign LB Tre Walker

The Calgary Stampeders have signed American linebacker Tre Walker.

The six-foot, 235-pound defender attended training camp with the Washington Commanders after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft. He later joined the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL and played 10 games with the club, recording 46 tackles and 0.5 sacks.

The 23-year-old native of Los Banos, Calif. played four collegiate seasons at the University of Idaho and made 338 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and seven pass knockdowns. He was twice named first-team All-Big Sky Conference as a member of the Vandals.

Calgary will open their 2024 season on Friday, June 7 when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium.
