The Ottawa Redblacks have re-signed American defensive back Damon Webb, tying him to the team for the 2024 season. He was scheduled to become a free agent later this month.
The 28-year-old dressed for 12 games with the team this past season, starting 12 games at boundary halfback. He recorded 62 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, three interceptions, and one interception.
The five-foot-eleven, 195-pound native of Detriot, Mi. joined the Redblacks in 2022 after appearing in 12 games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders over two seasons. He has made a total of 123 defensive tackles, 10 special teams tackles, five interceptions, and one sack over 37 career CFL games.
Webb played collegiately at Ohio State University become starting his professional career with the Tennessee Titans.
The Redblacks have a bye during the first week of the 2024 regular season before hosting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Thursday, June 13 at TD Place Stadium.
