The Calgary Stampeders have signed American receivers Dontario Drummond, Cameron Echols-Luper, and Jaquarii Robinson.
Drummond spent the 2022 season on the practice roster with the Dallas Cowboys. He returned to the team the following year but was released at the end of training camp.
The six-foot-one, 212-pound target played 34 collegiate games at Ole Miss where he made 114 receptions for 1,633 yards and 15 touchdowns. He previously played at East Mississippi Community College where he caught 95 passes for 1,466 yards and 21 touchdowns over two seasons.
Echols-Luper was a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2018 and B.C. Lions in 2019, though he didn’t dress for any games with either team. In 2022, he caught 26 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns as a member of the New Jersey Generals of the USFL and returned 32 kickoffs for 935 yards and one touchdown.
The 28-year-old spent his collegiate career at Western Kentucky, Arkansas State, and Texas Christian University where he also participated on the track team.
Robinson signed with the B.C. Lions in 2023 and dressed for one preseason game, though he was released near the end of training camp. He was previously a member of the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and Houston Roughnecks.
The Boston native played 34 collegiate games at Wake Forest and made 146 catches for 2,158 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was twice named second-team all-Atlantic Coast Conference.
