The Edmonton Elks have signed American defensive lineman Keyshon Camp to their training camp roster.

A four-star high school recruit, Camp played five seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, recording 59 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, four pass deflections and two forced fumbles in 35 games as a Panther. The 26-year-old was named the Most Valuable Lineman at the Tropical Bowl college all-star game following his senior year but still went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The six-foot-two, 283-pound lineman attended rookie mini-camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before joining the USFL’s Birmingham Stallion. He jumped to the Philadelphia Stars the following season but was released mid-year and returned to Birmingham, helping the team win their second straight USFL Championship with a three-tackle, two-sack performance. In nine total games in that league, Camp recorded 23 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

The Elks will open the team’s 75th anniversary season on Saturday, June 8 by hosting the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
