The Toronto Argonauts have signed franchise left tackle Isiah Cage to a contract extension. John Hodge of 3DownNation has reported that it’s a one-year deal.
The six-foot-five, 313-pound blocker started 10 games for the Boatmen this past season, helping protect the blindside of CFL M.O.P. Chad Kelly. He helped anchor an offensive line that allowed only 19 sacks on the year, which ranked first in the league.
Cage has been a member of the Argos since 2018 and has dressed for a total of 24 games. The native of Chicago played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and was a member of the Indianapolis Colts during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Toronto also re-signed fellow pending free agent offensive lineman Dylan Giffen earlier this month. Among those still set to hit free agency include Dariusz Bladek, Darius Ciraco, Shane Richards, and Trevon Tate.
