The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released seven players from their practice roster, including two former starters in receiver Carlton Agudosi and defensive back Abu Daramy-Swaray.
Agudosi joined the Bombers during the 2022 season, notching six receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns in a pair of appearances. He earned the starting job for the team in 2023 during Kenny Lawler’s early season suspension but managed just nine catches for 120 yards in four games.
Daramy-Swaray recorded five starts early in his rookie season, collecting 23 defensive tackles and one forced fumble. The former German Football League all-star with the Potsdam Royals has not dressed since Week 7.
Also released as the Bombers end their extended practice roster period was Global punter Karl Schmitz, Canadian fullback Konner Burtenshaw, American defensive lineman Kuony Deng, and American receivers Oliver Martin and Ronnie Blackmon.
The Bombers (11-4) will visit the B.C. Lions (11-4) on Friday, October 6 at 10:00 p.m. EDT. The two teams have split the season series at one game a piece, with the winner of this contest receiving a substantial advantage in the battle for top spot in the West Division.
