The B.C. Lions have signed three American players, including running backs B.J. Baylor and Vance McShane and offensive lineman Jacky Chen.

Baylor went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft but was in training camp with the Green Bay Packers before finishing the season on the practice roster with the Atlanta Falcons. He ran a 4.55-second forty-yard dash at his pro day along with a 7.03-second three-cone drill and 4.34-second short shuttle.

The five-foot-ten, 202-pound ball-carrier rushed for 1,718 yards and 18 touchdowns in 41 games with the Oregon State Beavers. He led the Pac-12 in rushing as a redshirt junior in 2021 and named first-team All-Conference.

McShane originally signed with the Lions before training camp but was added to the suspended list on May 14. He played his last two collegiate seasons at Northern Iowa (2021-22) where he carried the ball 189 times for 1,042 yards and eight touchdowns and made eleven catches for for 99 yards in 20 games.

Chen attended training camp with the Minnesota Vikings after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft. The native of Port Jefferson, N.Y. played 31 games at Pace University, a Division II school located in New York City. As a senior, he received an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl and was named first-team All-Conference.

The Lions (8-4) are scheduled to host the Ottawa Redblacks (3-9) on Saturday, Sept. 16 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
