Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ receiver Nic Demski has been named the CFL’s top performer for Week 13 by Pro Football Focus (PFF).
The veteran target made five catches for a season-high 118 yards against the Saskatchewan Roughriders this past week, earning a grade of 85.7. He made a sensational one-handed grab along the sideline as well as a 52-yard bomb that set-up a rushing touchdown from Brady Oliveira. This is Demski’s second selection of the season.
Saskatchewan Roughriders’ defensive lineman Miles Brown has been named the week’s top defensive performer, earning a grade of 84.9. He recorded three defensive tackles on 42 snaps, helping his team defeat Winnipeg by a score of 32-30 in overtime. The second-year CFL defensive tackle has made 22 tackles and four sacks this season with the Riders.
The top-graded offensive line this past week belonged to the B.C. Lions, who earned a group grade of 74.8 in their 34-25 win over the Montreal Alouettes. Left tackle Jarell Broxton got the group’s highest individual grade of 74.8, followed by left guard Andrew Peirson at 68.3 and right tackle Kent Perkins at 59.6.
The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.
The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
