Canadian offensive lineman Sidy Sow has made the 53-man roster with the New England Patriots.

The six-foot-five, 323-pound blocker was selected by the team in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Eastern Michigan University. He spent six seasons with the Eagles and made 54 career starts, setting an all-time school record.

The native of Bromont, Que. was named first-team All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) in each of the last two season and third-team All-MAC in 2020.

Sow was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 CFL Draft by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He would have been drafted significantly higher had he not received such significant NFL interest, possibly even first overall.

The 25-year-old tested well at the NFL Combine, posting the fifth-highest vertical jump among offensive linemen at 32 inches. He also leapt nine feet, three inches in the broad jump, ran 5.07-second forty-yard dash, a 4.69-second short shuttle, and a 7.62-second three-cone.

The Patriots will being their season on Sunday, Sept. 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
