The Toronto Argonauts have released American defensive Isaiah King.
The five-foot-ten, 187-pound cover man spent the entire first half of the season on the team’s practice roster. He has yet to dress for a regular season CFL game.
The 23-year-old made 78 total tackles, 10 pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries over 56 games at the University at Buffalo (2018-22). The native of Norfolk, Va. started his career at with the Bulls as a wide receiver before converting to the defensive side of the football.
The Argonauts (7-1) are scheduled to host the Calgary Stampeders (3-7) on Friday, Aug. 25 with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
