The Montreal Alouettes will have franchise quarterback Cody Fajardo back in the lineup when they visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Thursday night.

The six-foot-two, 233-pound pivot missed the club’s two most recent games due to an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. Montreal went 2-0 during his absence as Caleb Evans threw for 482 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in victories over Saskatchewan and Ottawa.

Fajardo has completed 67.0 percent of his passes for 1,877 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions so far this season. He has also carried the ball 31 times for 174 yards and three touchdowns.

Montreal has added running back Walter Fletcher to the active roster after he was a healthy scratch this past week. This will mark just the second time this season that he and William Stanback are both in the backfield for the same game.

Those currently on the six-game injured list for Montreal include receivers Greg Ellingson and Kaion Julien-Grant, offensive linemen Sean Jamieson and Philippe Gagnon, linebacker Avery Williams, and defensive backs Ciante Evans and Nafees Lyon.

Montreal has won four consecutive games, though some critics are still wondering whether or not the team is for real. The club is 0-3 against the league’s top three teams this year, B.C., Winnipeg, and Toronto, and are 6-0 against everyone else.

The Alouettes (6-3) are scheduled to visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (8-2) on Thursday, Aug. 24 with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. EDT. The two teams met at Percival Molson Stadium in Montreal in Week 4 with the Alouettes losing by a score of 17-3.
