Montreal Alouettes’ quarterback Cody Fajardo will start against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Thursday night.

The six-foot-two, 233-pound pivot missed the club’s two most recent games due to an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. He was a limited participant in practice this past week and dressed in an emergency role behind quarterbacks Caleb Evans and Davis Alexander in the club’s 25-24 win over the Ottawa Redblacks.

Montreal went 2-0 during Fajardo’s absence from the lineup as Evans threw for 482 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in victories over Saskatchewan and Ottawa.

Fajardo has completed 67.0 percent of his passes for 1,877 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions so far this season. He has also carried the ball 31 times for 174 yards and three touchdowns.

The Als (6-3) are scheduled to visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (8-2) on Thursday, Aug. 24 with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. EDT.
