The Calgary Stampeders have moved Global defensive lineman Aaron Donkor from the suspended list to the practice roster. He spent one week on the team’s practice roster earlier this season.

Donkor was Calgary’s third-round pick in the 2021 CFL Global Draft. The native of Germany spent time with the Seattle Seahawks as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program in 2021, spending time on the team’s practice squad over two years.

The six-foot-one, 229-pound defender played three games in the XFL in 2023, recording seven tackles. The 28-year-old has also played for the Düsseldorf Panther of the German Football League as well as the NCAA’s Arkansas State Red Wolves and New Mexico Military Institute Broncos.

The Stampeders (3-7) are scheduled to visit the Toronto Argonauts (7-1) on Friday, Aug. 25 with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
