Saskatchewan Roughriders’ quarterback Trevor Harris has been named the top-graded offensive player in the CFL by Pro Football Focus (PFF) following Week 5 action.

The veteran passer was assessed a grade of 88.2 after he completed 19-of-29 pass attempts for 292 yards and one touchdown in the club’s 12-11 win over the Edmonton Elks. He helped his team complete a late game-tying drive, throwing a four-yard touchdown pass to Mitchell Picton before hitting Kendall Watson on the ensuing two-point conversion.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ defensive lineman Jackson Jeffcoat was the highest-graded defensive player of the week. He was given a grade of 84.1 despite being mostly held off the stat sheet against the Calgary Stampeders, recording one pass knockdown on 38 defensive snaps.

The highest-graded offensive line of the week belonged to the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who earned a group grade of 75.7. The top individual performer was right tackle Colin Kelly with a grade of 68.6, followed by right guard Logan Ferland and left tackle Brandon Council.

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.

The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
