The Calgary Stampeders have added Canadian offensive lineman Rodeem Brown and Global defensive lineman Aaron Donkor to their practice roster.
Brown was a second-round pick of the Montreal Alouettes in the 2022 CFL Draft out of the University of Alberta. He returned to the Golden Bears for his final year of U Sports eligibility last season and was cut by the Als following training camp in 2023.
The six-foot-one, 299-pound blocker was born in Halifax but played high school football in Saskatchewan. He was named a first-team U Sports All-Canadian at right guard in 2021 but also has experience at centre.
Donkor was Calgary’s third-round pick in the 2021 CFL Global Draft. The native of Germany spent time with the Seattle Seahawks as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program in 2021, spending time on the team’s practice squad over two years.
The six-foot-one, 229-pound defender played three games in the XFL in 2023, recording seven tackles. The 28-year-old has also played for the Düsseldorf Panther of the German Football League as well as the NCAA’s Arkansas State Red Wolves and New Mexico Military Institute Broncos.
