Saskatchewan Roughriders sign two defenders, release one

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive lineman KeShaun Moore and American defensive back Justus Harris.

Moore spent the past two seasons at Hampton University where he made 106 total tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one interception, three pass knockdowns, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. He was named second-team All-Big South Conference in 2021 and second-team All-CAA Conference in 2022.

The six-foot-two, 279-pound defender started his collegiate career at James Madison University where he recorded 29 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one sack over 10 games with the Dukes.

The 23-year-old recently attended rookie camp with the Indianapolis Colts after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft, though he did not sign with the team.

Harris played five collegiate seasons at the University of Minnesota (2017-21) where he made 71 total tackles, four tackles for loss, three pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one punt block in 49 games. He was a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.

The five-foot-ten, 184-pound cover man attended rookie minicamp with the New York Giants after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Riders also released American defensive lineman Kyshonn Tyson. The six-foot-four, 280-pound defensive tackle most recently played for the USFL’s Michigan Panthers, making 21 tackles and three tackles for loss over seven games in 2022.
