Toronto Argonauts sign nine, including six 2023 CFL Draft picks

The Toronto Argonauts have signed American receiver Quian Williams along with American defensive backs Mason Pierce and Isaiah King.

Williams made 121 receptions for 1,536 yards and six touchdowns over 23 games at the University at Buffalo (2021-22) and was named third-team All-MAC as a senior. The six-foot, 193-pound target started his collegiate career at Eastern Michigan where he made 76 catches for 983 yards and eight touchdowns over two seasons.

Pierce played four seasons at the Colorado School of Mines (2018-22) and made 180 total tackles, six interceptions, and 53 pass knockdowns along with 40 punt returns for 638 yards. The five-foot-ten, 185-pound native of Texas native was named first-team All-Conference in 2022 after recording 56 tackles and five interceptions for the Orediggers.

King made 78 total tackles, 10 pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries over 56 games at the University at Buffalo (2018-22). The five-foot-ten, 187-pound defender started his career at with the Bulls as a wide receiver before converting to the other side of the football.

The Argos also signed six players they selected during the 2023 CFL Draft, including long snapper Adam Guillemette, fullback Spencer Nichols, offensive lineman Edouard Paradis, receiver Richard Burton, linebacker Ife Onyemenam, and linebacker Brendan Murphy.

Toronto also placed American receivers Aleva Hifo and Tanner Gentry on the retired list alongside American offensive lineman Kofi Appiah.
