The Calgary Stampeders have signed American quarterback Logan Bonner.
The six-foot-one, 230-pound passer completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 4,381 yards, 42 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions over 18 career games at Utah State (2021-22).
In 2021, he set new single-season school records with 3,628 passing yards and 36 passing touchdowns. He was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player in the Mountain West Conference Championship Game after throwing for 318 yards in a 46-13 victory over San Diego State.
The native of Rowlett, Texas dressed for only four games in 2022 after suffering a foot injury. He threw for 753 yards, six touchdowns, and eight interceptions over those contests.
The 25-year-old transferred to Utah State after playing 24 games over four seasons at Arkansas State (2017-20). Bonner completed 57.9 percent of his pass attempts for 30 touchdowns and nine interceptions over 29 games as a member of the Red Wolves. He was named third-team All-Sun Belt Conference in 2020 after throwing for 1,863 yards, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Bonner recently added rookie minicamp with the Indianapolis Colts after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
