The B.C. Lions have signed American receiver Jaquarii Roberson and American defensive lineman Amir Siddiq.
Roberson made 146 catches for 2,158 yards and 17 touchdowns over 40 games at Wake Forest University (2018-21). The two-time second-team All-ACC selection tied a program record with four consecutive 100-yard games and scored three touchdowns in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl against Wisconsin in 2020.
The six-foot-one, 182-pound target attended training camp with the Dallas Cowboys this past year before stints on the practice roster with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, and Los Angeles Rams.
Siddiq played 39 games at Central Michigan (2017-21) and recorded 60 total tackles, 16.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, and one forced fumble. He was named fourth-team All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) by Phil Steele in his final year with the team.
The six-foot-two, 245-pound defender transferred to Charlotte for his senior season and made 47 total tackles and 5.5 sacks in 12 games. He was named second-team All-Conference USA.
The Lions will open rookie camp on Wednesday, May 10 ahead of training camp on Sunday, May 14.
