The Saskatchewan Roughriders are returning to Saskatoon for training camp in 2023.
Practices will take place at the University of Saskatchewan starting on May 10 for a three-day rookie camp. Main camp will start on Sunday, May 14 after the club trims its roster down to 85 players excluding non-counters, such as draft picks and territorial exemptions.
The Riders will hold their annual Green and White Day at on May 20 at Saskatoon Minor Football Field, featuring family activities and other entertainment. Team president and CEO Craig Reynolds, vice-president and general manager Jeremy O’Day, and head coach Craig Dickenson will host a question and answer period with fans at 1:00 p.m. local time before the game starts at 3:00 p.m.
The club will play its first preseason game at Mosaic Stadium in Regina against the B.C. Lions on Saturday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. EDT. They will play their second and final preseason game at IG Field in Winnipeg against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday, June 2 at 8:30 p.m. EDT.
Saskatchewan will start the regular season on Sunday, June 11 at Commonwealth Stadium against the Edmonton Elks with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT. Tickets for the regular season are already on sale.
