The Toronto Argonauts have signed American offensive lineman Ralph Singleton.
The six-foot-four, 270-pound blocker was signed by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats prior to training camp last season but was released following its conclusion.
The native of Sumter, S.C. played three seasons at Valdosta State University, which is located in Valdosta, Ga. and plays out of the Gulf South Conference (GSC). He was named second-team All-GSC as a redshirt junior in 2019 and first-team All-GSC as a redshirt senior in 2021. He was also named a national finalist for the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year Award.
Singleton started his collegiate career at Presbyterian College in 2017 where he played 11 games along the offensive line.
CFL teams are slated to open training camp on Sunday, May 14 with rosters of 85 players excluding non-counters. The Argos will play their first preseason game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday, May 27 at 4 p.m. EDT at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton.
