Edmonton Elks sign two Americans, including OL Erick Browne

The Edmonton Elks have signed American offensive lineman Erick Browne and American linebacker Josh Adewumi.

Browne originally signed with the team in July 2021 but was released prior to the start of training camp.

The six-foot-three, 295-pound blocker played four seasons at Merrimack College from 2016 to 2019 where he started 42 career games for the Warriors. The native of Everett, Mass. served as team captain in each of his final two seasons in the program.

Adewumi played 35 career games at Salisbury University, a Division III program located in Maryland. The six-foot-one, 225-pound defender made 125 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries over the course of his tenure with the Gulls.
