A Winnipeg store is selling Saskatchewan Roughriders gear under a unique title.
On Sunday, the Blue Bombers shared a photo that originated from Reddit featuring a bin of Riders gloves at a local ReStore location. According to a hand-written sign, the winter accessories were being sold for $1 per pair under the title of “Ugly Gloves.”
3DownNation contacted the store, which is located at 60 Archibald St. in Winnipeg, and a sales representative confirmed that the price is no hoax. The individual also indicated that approximately five pairs were sold on Saturday.
However, the Bombers seem skeptical that the items are worth even that much, captioning their tweet “$1 seems a little steep [to be honest].”

The Roughriders were tagged in the post, but have yet to issue a response.
The two prairie teams have one of the fiercest rivalries in Canadian sports, highlighted by their historic tilts in the Labour Day Classic and Banjo Bowl. The Bombers have dominated the rivalry in recent years, sweeping the three-game season series in 2022. Winnipeg has a 141-106-4 all-time record against Saskatchewan.
Habitat for Humanity ReStores sell a wide variety of new and used home goods for below retail prices with proceeds going to help people through the organization’s home-building projects.
If you’re in Winnipeg and in need of a pair of gloves, feel free to stop by and pick yourself up a pair. Your money will go towards a good cause.
