The Calgary Stampeders have signed American offensive lineman D’Antne Demery.

The six-foot-five, 320-pound blocker played one game for the Edmonton Elks in 2021 but finished the season on the six-game injury list. He returned to the team in 2022 but was released after spending one week on the practice roster.

The 25-year-old native of Brunswick, Ga. played 26 games at Florida International University, making 25 starts at left tackle. He was named All-Conference Honourable Mention in 2018 and 2019 as the Panthers allowed only 22 sacks over those two seasons.

The Stampeders lost right tackle Julian Good-Jones following the 2022 season as he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. The club’s remaining offensive tackles include Derek Dennis, Hugh Thornton, Josh Coker, Bryce Bell, and newly-signed Canadian Jamal Campbell.
